Up until now our Life Changes Live! events have been presented by Off Hollywood Media, but this is the first time that we do an event in collaboration with another event. And this was not just any event, it was the Conscious Life Expo of Los Angeles.

This is a premier event in this Industry, attracting hundreds of vendors and around 10,000 attendees over a three day period, and now because of our event, being the day before, it has been extended over a four day period.

So here we are, not even a year old as a company and already we're playing with the big guys, and we are very excited and honored to be doing so.

Our event was the Pre-Conference Kick-off to the Conscious Life Expo this year. What a way for us to Kick-off our own New Year.

Our guest tonight was Dr. Ken Best who spoke about our personal "Rabbit Holes," and how we get in them and how we can get out of them. Many of you may remember Dr. Best from a previous radio show. To learn more about him and his work, visit him at www.drkenbest.com.

Dr. Ken had a "This is your life," type of surprise, when our very own Producer Mark M. Laisure, surprised him with a song, as a way of thanking him for the work that he has done with him. This was the first time that Mark had sung on our show, live or radio, or for that matter, on stage in many years, but from the reaction of the audience, it won't be the last.

Marco Missinato provided his beautiful accompaniment to the evening with his own compositions setting the mood for the show. And our guest musician was Bernard Harris, who currently happened to be homeless, who sang one of his compositions. Then Barnard Harris was joined by my friend Laura De Leon and myself and together the three of us sang "Ooh Ooh Child... Things are going to get easier...." This was quite a special moment.

This all came about because Life Changes was honoring Charles Hill as the Luminary of the Month at our event tonight, which we did. Charles is the Founder of the non-profit organization, United Steps. United Stpes offers simple solutions to addressing homelessness in Los Angeles, solutions that every day people can apply to all aspects of life. United Steps’ practical approach of talking to people, but more importantly, listening to people resonated strongly with the audience. Charles stated “We see people as answers, not problems."

The evening ended with Dorothy Lee Donahue addressing the audience with her "State of the Universe Address," and Mark M. Laisure leading a guided visualization, and with the audience members staying for over an hour after the event. We are getting used to that, we don't take it for granted, but we do like it, it makes us feel like we did our job.

To learn more about our live events or radio shows, etc., visit our website at www.LifeChanges.ws.

Thank you to all the participants and our attendees, it is for you that we take pride in joy in doing these.

Ranan Shahar on Life Changes With Filippo

Our guest tonight, flew in from Hawaii only hours earlier where he was teaching a seminar, and as tired as he was, he came into the studio and recorded this interview. He is Ranan Shahar.

Ranan Shahar, is founder of New Dawn Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. Having gone through the personal crisis of the loss of one of his children through cancer, he has fostered the desire to seek out and learn healing techniques to maintain and restore optimal wellness for himself, his family and others.

Originally from Israel, Ranan’s continuing desire for tools in the healing arts has taken him to the four corners of the globe in his search of truth and understanding of human nature. Ranan Shahar is truly a unique and talented healer whose work is to improve the quality of human life for all. He does this by balancing the five elements (earth, metal, water, wood and fire) through techniques that eliminate allergies that often result in asthma, chronic fatigue, chronic and severe migraine headaches, hormonal imbalances and fibromyalgia etc. This opens up the patient to experience total integration at the core of their being. Regardless of the symptoms, whether physical, emotional or mental, the essence and goal of Ranan’s practice is to help his patients become more loving, peaceful, creative, happy and vibrantly healthy.

Ranan is a Master of Oriental Medicine, a licensed acupuncturist, a certified hypnotherapist, a certified practitioner of BRT, a certified practitioner and international instructor of NAET. He is also certified in the revolutionary AtlasPROfilax technique from Switzerland. He combines wisdom and techniques of the east and west and, by the integration of these techniques, Ranan is able to help patients over come old counter productive lifestyle choices and diseases that have been plaguing them for years. The focus of his evolving work is the balance and integration of the body/mind/spirit connection. Ranan believes the opening of the heart is one of the master keys to transform the body’s ability to come into balance and achieve optimal wellness.

You can learn about Ranan at his website above or at our website where you can also hear this interview in it's entirety and learn about other such guests. www.LifeChanges.ws.

Thank you Ranan for being on our show and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Jaia Lee on Life Changes With Filippo

It's always a pleasure for me to have guests on that are singer/songwriters. Not only do we get to play and hear their music on the show but we can talk about their inspiration for the songs, and for that matter, their lives. Our guest tonight on Life Changes With Filippo talked about that and more and you'd be surprised what she does with her music and her "ministry," so to speak.

Hear the entire interview at www.LifeChanges.ws.

This is what Jaia says about herself.
"I'm a writer, and as a singer/songwriter/poet have 'performed' here and there, although I hesitate to call it performance...to me it feels more like prayer... and people cry... love it when it goes deep like that and touches people. I also got into raw food and cleansing and am amazed how much healing happens through simple changes (sometimes radical, but still simple).

I have a book called Living Beyond Belief; How to Ditch the Life your Mind has Created and Start Living the One Your Soul Intended..... it has poetry as well as inspired thought and personal story-- I used to be 250 lbs, and in an abusive marriage.

Today, even through we are no longer married, the 'abuser' is my friend, as in a deeper reality he was only reflecting my own self-abuse. There is a chapter on Projection in the book, with the insight that if we could all take 100% responsibility for what is showing up in our lives..and change ourselves inside, things would change in huge ways!

I have also been doing classes in prison for several years and am in the process of putting together a non-profit for that work. I see a world where all prisons have transformed into healing centers. It's the only thing that makes sense as the old falls away and we move into this more enlightened world."

Learn more about Jaia at her website www.LivingBeyondBelief.com or of course at our website, www.LifeChanges.ws.

Thank you Jaia for being on our show and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Victoria Moran on Life Changes With Filippo

Our guest on Life Changes With Filippo Radio Show tonight was Victoria Moran. She is quite a prolific author and has much to share as you will read below or hear on our show at www.LifeChanges.ws.

Victoria Moran is the author of ten books...

...I've been writing for publication since I was a teenager. I wanted to meet the Beatles so I got a $1 press card from a teen magazine. It worked: I got into my first Beatles' press conference at fourteen, my second at fifteen, and when I was seventeen, Paul McCartney bought me a drink. That's when I knew that even though I was just an ordinary girl from Kansas City with a recurrent weight problem and bad skin, I really did live a charmed life.

A motivational speaker specializing in inspiration, wellness, and personal growth

...I've also been speaking since I was a kid - first for school assemblies and Rotary Clubs, and on from there. I'm fortunate in that I have only one gift: words, spoken and written. People who have a wide variety of talents have more trouble figuring out which one to pursue...

...and a certified life coach specializing in spiritual-life coaching...

...coaching is my way to have an ongoing relationship with individuals who are serious about changing their lives. Because most coaching is done by phone, I have clients from around the country.

Victoria's latest book is Living A Charmed Life...

...this is the 10th anniversary sequel to my classic, Creating a Charmed Life. The new book is a testament to living a charmed life now, even in difficult circumstances.

Also new this year is the fully revised and updated version of The Love-Powered Diet...

The subtitle says it all: Eating for Freedom, Health, and Joy. I've been free of compulsive overeating (and an extra sixty pounds) for over twenty years as a result of a spiritual turnaround and loving food choices. How you can do it, too, is in this book.

Her other titles includes Fat, Broke, & Lonely No More...

A terrific book on making peace with food, money, and other people. It's my editor's title and I've never quite warmed to it (I spent a lot of years 'fat' and I don't like the word), but if you look inside the book, I think you'll be glad you did.

Younger By The Day...

For looking, feeling and living well all your life.

Fit From Within...

...I was overweight for 30 years and for the past 20-plus I haven't been. How you can get free from food troubles, too, is in Fit from Within.

Lit from Within...

...This one is about discovering and bringing out your inner beauty, the beauty that's truly yours and that truly lasts.

Shelter for the Spirit...

...This book grew out of my experience as a single mom, trying to create a truly nurturing home for my daughter, myself and our animals. Once I knew I'd done it, I wrote a book about it.

Creating a Charmed Life...

...Which has been translated into twenty-seven languages and is quoted on Celestial Seasonings' tea boxes.

Creating a Charmed Life is one of my favorite books. It's subtitle is: Sensible, Spiritual Secrets Every Busy Woman Should Know. I wrote it when my daughter was fourteen, I'd just remarried and inherited three lively stepchildren, then five, nine, and ten years of age. There was so much on my plate - I'm sure you're relating; that seems to be the nature of life these days - and yet there was so much joy. I drew on my background in comparative religions - I am fascinated by the many ways people find meaning in life - and eclectic spirituality, and on simply being a woman and a mom, blessed with many inspiring friends who taught me even more about making a charmed life out of whatever life you've got...

Moran's articles have appeared in publications including Ladies' Home Journal, Woman's Day, Body & Soul, Weight Watchers Magazine, Natural Health, and Yoga Journal. She has been a guest on TV and radio programs including two appearances on Oprah!

...And of course I'm praying for a third: Oprah is every bit as wonderful and amazing as I'd hoped she would be. She's funny and confident and she went out of her way to say nice things about my books and about me. I admire her a great deal.

Moran's work has been noted in publications including USA Today, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, as well in magazines such as Glamour, Fitness, Elle, Allure, Health, Self, Cosmo, Family Circle, Woman's World, and O, the Oprah Magazine.

...The piece in O was when filmmaker Michael Moore was the celebrity book reviewer. I was amazed that, along with the various political books that you'd expect Michael Moore to have as favorites, there was my book, Fit from Within. You can imagine how thrilled I was to open up the magazine, not knowing my book was in there, and find his truly lovely review. Some of the best things in my life seem to come from out of the proverbial blue...

Among Victoria's past speaking clients are Hallmark Cards, Toyota Women's Conferences, the New York Athletic Club, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and Speaking of Women's Health. Victoria also speaks for churches around the country...

...Speaking is so much fun. Writing is, too, when it flows, but writing can also be a lot of hard work. Speaking, for me anyway, is a gift. It's like stepping into another mode. I don't "give speeches" - the very phrase is boring - I do something more like a one-person show. Some people have even called it "performance art", although I've never been quite sure what performance art is. I just know I love doing it and people seem to love experiencing it. Please check my Calendar to see if I'll be speaking near where you live. And if your company or association or church hires speakers, please refer them to the my Speaking page or print it for them. I'd love to have the opportunity to do a presentation there.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri...

...Kansas City will always be my town. That was where I learned to love urban life, and I'm so proud of hailing from a place that hosted, for long or short periods, luminaries like Walt Disney, Harry Truman, Satchel Paige, Ernest Hemingway, Count Basie, Jean Harlow, Charlie "Bird" Parker, and Thomas Hart Benton...

...and an adopted New Yorker...

...I am nuts about New York City. I moved here seven years ago and I am still so in love with this city that every morning when I go out in it, I can hardly believe I'm here. The energy is infectious and every wonderful thing somehow seems possible.

Victoria is married to an attorney and writer...

I married William Melton in 1997. (My first husband, Patrick Moran, died ten years earlier.) William is a wonderful, sweet man who loves me like the dickens. Sometimes I just stare at him and am amazed at how lucky I am. He wrote The Complete Idiot's Guide to Playing the Harmonica coauthored with Randy Weinstein, which I'm sure needs no editorial commentary. He is now pursuing another dream: becoming a screenwriter.

...Her daughter Adair is an actor in New York City...

...If you read Shelter for the Spirit or Creating a Charmed Life, you know that I wrote about a daughter named Rachael. At age 14, "Rachael" decided that she was really "Adair," her middle name. Adair is the little village in northern Missouri where her dad's ancestors settled when they came from Ireland. She is, by any name, the light of my life, and being a mom is the grandest adventure I know of. It's hard to believe that she's in her twenties and married. Her husband, Nicholas Moran (yes, he took her name), is also an actor. They share theater, a love of animals, and their hobby of making beer, "Actor Ale," as a gift for agents and casting directors. (It was Mama Rose in Gypsy, I believe, who said, "Ya gotta have a gimmick if you're gonna get ahead.")

My stepdaughter Siân is twenty-three and has trained to be a makeup artist for fashion magazines and runway shows. She spent a year with us in New York and is now back in Toronto where her mom lives. My stepson Erik, nineteen and also in Toronto, trained in sound engineering and is working in his field - he's also a mean bass player.

After a short illness, James, my other stepson, left us to be with the angels on September 12, 2007, at age sixteen. He was an amazing kid, funny and bright, and with tremendous compassion. I don't pretend to understand how life works and why things happen the way they do. I do believe with all my heart that there is a reason for everything, a reason that will one day make sense. My commitment to everyone I love, both those in this world and the ones on the other side of life, is to live fully, cherish each day, experience joy, and use whatever gifts I have to make a difference.

Thank you Victoria for being on our show and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Robyn O'Brien on Life Changes With Filippo

Our guest tonight on Life Changes With Filippo was Robyn O'Brien.

Robyn O’Brien

"Robyn O'Brien's fervent message describes the toxic tangle of American food, government, and culture. THE UNHEALTHY TRUTH is a healthy dose of medicine that we all need to swallow, and I say this as an advocate for the environment, but more importantly, as a father of five." -Graydon Carter, Editor-in-chief, Vanity Fair—Graydon Carter, Editor-in-chief, Vanity Fair

Robyn O’Brien

Says Robyn of herself, her life and her mission,

"I was raised in Houston, Texas on meat and potatoes with a fair share of Doritos and Ding Dongs thrown in.

I was not a foodie.

My background is motherhood and finance. I earned an MBA from Rice University on a full scholarship and graduated as the top woman in my class. I went on to work in the investment world, jockeying with the gang on Wall Street, as an analyst on a team that managed about $20 billion in assets. During those years, I learned a thing or two about 'enhancing profitability and shareholder value' and 'managing earnings and expectations'.

When our first child was born, I traded my briefcase for a diaper bag and found myself in a world of picky eaters, on a limited budget, with no time.

Today, I am a married, mother of four children and the founder of the AllergyKids Foundation, an organization designed to help protect the 1 in 3 American children that now has autism, ADHD, asthma or allergies, that funds research into the development and practice of techniques designed to heal children with the 4As using an integrative, biomedical approach developed by doctors in New York.

Prior to unearthing all of this, I didn’t trust myself to do more than hit '2:00 START' on my microwave. And I have to laugh as I find myself on the front lines of our “national eating disorder’ given the battle that so many of us waged against food when we were younger.

I am an unlikely crusader for cleaning up our food supply. You may be, too. But fortunately, there is a lot that we can do about it. We simply have to get savvy and stand together so that our voices can be heard by leaders in our government and the food industry the same way that families overseas have made their voices heard over there.

And that requires transparency in our food system. I believe that we deserve full disclosure of financial ties behind industry funded research, our doctors and our medical organizations. I believe that knowledge is power, transparency is critical and that attitude is everything!

It is humbling to have appeared in the New York Times, on CNN, the Today Show and Good Morning America and featured in People Magazine, but more importantly, I am honored to have been invited to attend roundtable discussions with members of Congress on health care reform and to serve on the board of the Environmental Working Group, based in Washington, DC.

I am deeply grateful for the work that all of you are doing and remain profoundly hopeful that together, leveraging our collective abilities, we can affect remarkable change in our food system for the health of our families.

And though we can't change the beginning of our stories, we can change the end. And hope is the knowledge that change is possible, even when it seems hard to imagine."

Here this all too important interview with Robyn and other such interviews at www.LifeChanges.ws.

Thank you Robyn for being on our show, and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Jill Mara on Life Changes With Filippo

Jill Mara was our guest tonight on Life Changes With Filippo Radio show, and she was our first channel, and the first channeling we have had on air. Incidentally, it was Jill's first time that she channeled on air as well.

You can currently hear this show and all the others in it's entirety at our website www.LifeChanges.ws.

Jill Mara, author of the channeled book Keys to Soul Evolution: A Gateway to the Next Dimension (7D Publishing, September, 2009, $16.95) is an up and coming channel of higher dimensional beings that is dedicated to sharing her ability to bring messages of spiritual growth to humanity.

Jill Mara connected with Simion, the Evolutionary Collective of 7th dimension light beings during a meditative exercise to meet her spiritual guides in September, 2005. Instead of personal guidance, they delivered a message regarding an upcoming shift in human consciousness. She soon began verbally channeling answers to questions from friends and family about life, the universe and reality.

Eventually, she sat down at her computer to type telepathically relayed information from Simion. The first time she tried this, she automatically typed several pages and a list of topics which she later discovered were the introduction and chapter titles of a book.

Being a reserved, “down-to-earth,” and practical person, she at times was overwhelmed and doubted the idea that she was being entrusted with this universal communiqué for humanity. However, with the positive and loving encouragement of those that read the channeled material, she overcame the doubts and committed to bringing forth the material. In the available time she had over the last few years, she worked diligently to complete the now published Simion book.

Jill has since been interviewed on radio programs, conducted live Simion channeling sessions at spiritual gatherings and book stores and will be a featured channel in the upcoming sequel to the documentary Tuning In. She is traveling in the United States and is available to share her spiritual experiences and to channel the knowledge of multi-dimensional beings.

Prior to the book release, Jill was active with her yacht charter brokerage business in the US Virgin Islands where she lived for eight years. Before that she owned a video business recording whales in Cape Cod, MA. She also spent several years as an elementary teacher in New York. She has a BA in Communications and a Masters in Education.

Thank you Jill for being on our show, and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Mike Robbins on Life Changes With Filippo

Our guest tonight on Life Changes With Filippo was Mike Robbins. We wanted Mike on the show before the Holidays because he had some tips he wanted to share like, how to get along with your family this Holiday. We thought this would be very apropos.

You can currently hear the show, with tips that are timely and timeless, at our website, www.LifeChanges.ws.

Mike Robbins is the author of the new book Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken. He’s a well-known keynote speaker and personal development expert who has inspired tens of thousands through his speeches, seminars, writing, and workshops. Mike and his work have been featured on ABC News, the Oprah and Friends radio network, and in Forbes.

Author of "Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken - Transform Your Life With the Power of Authenticity," and "Focus on the Good Stuff."

Mike Robbins Holiday Season Happiness Tips

The Holiday Season is a time of gratitude, appreciation, and family connection – yeah right! For most of us, the Holiday Season is about feeling obligated to spend time with the people we’re “supposed” to, eating too much food and feeling guilty about it, and pretending to be grateful when we’re actually annoyed and stressed out (especially this year with all of the negativity and fear swirling around in our culture).

What if we could make this Holiday Season less stressful, more fun, and actually be able to enjoy ourselves, appreciate our families, and focus on what we’re grateful for in a genuine way? Below are some important holiday stress-management tips I teach people in my books, articles, speeches, and workshops. I’d love to share some of these helpful ideas with your audience for this Holiday Season.

Tips for a low-stress, positive Holiday Season:

Be yourself – don’t try to be who you think you “should” be with your family, friends, in-laws, or guests – just be you!

Focus on the good stuff – choose to focus on the things you like and appreciate about your family members, instead of obsessing about the things that annoy or upset you

Do what you want to do – think about what would be fun for you and your immediate family to do for Thanksgiving and communicate this to everyone else (in-laws, extended family, etc.)

Let go of past resentments – holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die – just let things go

Write “thankful cards” – take some time to write cards to the people in your life (those you will see this Holiday Season and others) and let them know what you appreciate about them

Go with the flow and have fun – whatever you choose to do this Holiday Season, be flexible and choose to enjoy yourself

Make it easy – do whatever you can for yourself and those around you to make the planning, food preparation, clean up, and the whole Holiday Season experience as easy and stress-free as possible

Count your blessings – remember that even in the midst of the stress and frustration of these times and the holiday season, Thanksgiving really is a time for us to reflect on what we’re grateful for…take some time this Holiday Season to count your blessings, even if it seems a little forced or cheesy

Thank you Mike for your being on the show, for your tips, and for being, along with us, a Positive Change Agent, ushering in the changes we wish to see in the world.

Shadoe Stevens on Life Changes With Filippo

Our guest on Life Changes With Filippo Radio Show tonight was Shadoe Stevens.

Shadoe Stevens is one of the most recognized voices in the world, but that’s just the beginning. For decades, Shadoe has been an innovator and star of radio, television, film, visual arts and the internet. Whether you know him from American Top 40, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Dave’s World, Hollywood Squares, his children’s books, Cabo Wabo Radio, Top of the World, commercials, or artwork, Shadoe has defined his career through innovation and thinking out of the box, while creating compelling entertainment programs. Explore the world of Shadoe Stevens!

RADIO AND TELEVISION

He was the first program director of "World Famous" KROQ-FM. He created one of the first Alternative Rock formats in the country. As Vice President of Programming, he created a new music format that consisted of nothing but "cutting edge, exciting new music. As both PD and on-air personality, the "attitude" he developed, combined with this new musical "niche," resulted in astonishing acceptance in a very short time. Within 6 months it became a number one station. As a radio personality during this period, he won the Billboard Magazine Personality of the Year Award.

After leaving radio for the worlds of television and film, in 1988, he was offered the position of hosting American Top Forty. Casey Kasem left the show, and Shadoe became the new host for the next 6 years. During this time, it became the most successful and widely syndicated radio show in the world. It was broadcast in 120 countries to an estimated 1 billion listeners every week. His voice became one of the most recognizable voices in the world. At the same time, he appeared on Hollywood Squares, which for three years was a top 5 syndicated show. As a regular on the show, he became a household name. The show continued in successful syndication for another three years.

He starred in two network series for CBS, the Fred Silverman production "Loose Cannon," and for four years the Top 20 series "Dave's World" with Harry Anderson, Meshach Tayler, and DeLane Matthews.

He has frequently been a guest star on a wide range of hit TV series including: Beverly Hills 90210, Baywatch, The Larry Sanders Show, Caroline in the City, Clueless, Burke's Law, Fast Track, and Sonny Spoon (w/Mario Van Peebles).

As a voice-over artist, he has been the voice of Hollywood Squares, Comic Relief, the Grammy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and countless commercials. He is currently announcer for "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS.

FROM THE BEGINNING

Declared one of the original "Rough Riders," he was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. A self-proclaimed radio prodigy, he built a radio station in his home at the age of 10, and began broadcasting for a mile in every direction. The audacious whippersnapper - driven by sheer enthusiasm - went on to create a "viral marketing campaign" which led to his being hired as host of his own rock radio show on local commercial station KEYJ. He was 11 years old and was promoted as "The World's Youngest DJ."

Majoring in Commercial Art and Radio/TV Journalism at the University of North Dakota and the University of Arizona, he put himself through college working in radio at KILO in Grand Forks, North Dakota, KQWB in Fargo, North Dakota, and KIKX in Tucson, Arizona. Even then, described as a workaholic and overachiever, while going to school he worked full-time at the stations and appeared in university plays on weekends.

As a radio personality hosting an evening program (6:00pm - 9:00pm) at WRKO in Boston, his program gained some of the highest ratings in the history of Boston radio (33% of listeners aged 12 and over). He was then recruited away from Boston by the number one radio station in the country, KHJ in Los Angeles.

He was enormously successful in Los Angeles. Not only was he regularly rated as a number one radio personality, he was instrumental in creating two of the most commercially successful music formats in radio - both of which have been copied, adapted, and built upon throughout the world.

As program director at KRLA, he created the first financially successful Album Oriented format for AM radio. As both director of programming and drive time on-air personality, he created a distinctive "attitude". Within 6 months from the introduction of his new programming format, the station shot to #1.

As program director at KMET-FM, he created the first commercially successful Album Oriented Rock format for FM radio. Again, as the PD and on-air personality, he created a consistent musical approach and "attitude," and again, within 6 months, the station shot to #1. KMET became the most financially successful rock station in the country.

As program director for KROQ-FM, he created another new music format that consisted of only "cutting edge new music." Later this format evolved into what became known as "Alternative Rock." Again, as before, as both PD and on-air personality, the "attitude" he developed, combined with this new musical "niche," resulted in astonishing acceptance in a very short time. Within 6 months, it too, became a number one station.

As a radio personality, he won the Billboard Personality of the Year Award.

TELEVISION AND FILM

Shadoe began his television career as Steve Allen's announcer/side-kick on the nationally syndicated Steve Allen Show.

He appeared on Midnight Special where he was a correspondent, giving artist backgrounds and doing celebrity interviews with major rock groups.

He appeared in the movies: The Kentucky Fried Movie, TRAXX, Mr. Saturday Night, and the much revered "Bucket of Blood," for Roger Corman.

He appeared on Hollywood Squares, which for three years was a top 5 syndicated show.

He has frequently been a guest star on a wide range of hit series including: Beverly Hills 90210, Baywatch, The Larry Sanders Show, Clueless, Burke's Law, Fast Track, Caroline in the City, and Sonny Spoon (w/Mario Van Peebles).

As a voice-over artist, he has been the voice of Hollywood Squares, Comic Relief, the Grammy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and innumerable commercials. He is currently announcer for "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS.

ADVERTISING AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION

Shadoe created the production company "ShadoeVision," which produced radio campaigns for almost every major artist (e.g. Elton John, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, and the Rolling Stones). The company also created advertising campaigns for major concert tours for artists like Rod Stewart, Queen, and Fleetwood Mac.

In the 1980's, his company was retained to devise a television advertising strategy and campaign for a 14 store electronics chain known as the Federated Group. He created and played a character named Fred Rated in a series of commercials that were a mix of Saturday Night Live and Monty Python. Over a period of six years, he and a small team of artists: Chris Culverhouse, Chuck Cirino, Michael Hill, Dave Nichols, and Ed Freeman, created over 1,200 different commercials.

After the first weekend of the campaign, sales increased 500%. In four years, the group grew from 14 local stores to 78 superstores in 5 states. The success of the Federated advertising campaign was extraordinary. It was the first regional advertising campaign ever to have received a 2 page spread in Time magazine.

Fred Rated's huge exposure resulted in Shadoe's invitation to join Hollywood Squares in 1987 and to host American Top 40 the next year.

His company also created, produced and sold to HBO, an experimental comedy show named "Shadoevision." Again, he created cutting edge production design utilizing multi-media exploration, and a complex, intricate, hyperactive editing style. Many of the techniques implemented in this show were later adopted by MTV and others.

His awards in advertising include Cleo Awards and the Big Apple Award.

In ART, he is currently completing a series for a Gallery showing. It is a large format, multimedia suite - acrylics, pen and ink, and collage created from computer generated, printed materials. It is entitled, "The Transdimensional Symbolism of Rocky Waters."

He has written four children's books as well as creating the characters and being Art Director for the projects. The first is called, "The Big Galoot," which he hopes to have released within the next year.

I knew this was going to be a fun night because my friend Carushka was in the studio! Carushka Jarecka was our guest on Life Changes With Filippo tonight and as if the show wasn't interesting enough, we got into some fun and even risque conversation. After all, it is internet radio, and it wasn't that bad, and in fact, it was fun and spicy, that's the word, spicy. This is a show you will want to hear. Carushka is not only rich and famous and a legend in the world of body wear, she is real and loving and caring and so much more.

Caruska Jarecka wand I spoke about her successes, her losses, and dealing with the in-between, as well as her new Internet video show coming up “The Cancer Answer,” with the first guest being yours truly, me, and staring Caruska as the “Host of Hope.”

“After 30 years as an entrepreneur, I continue to be motivated by my customers. Their inspiration fuels my love of design and innovation. This is what sets Carushka Bodywear apart.” Carushka Jarecka

Carushka Jarecka is the founder of one of the most successful specialty apparel companies in the world. Carushka literally created the “bodywear” concept and the market was changed forever. Today, the bodywear and activewear industry is a multi- million dollar business and Carushka is the pioneer that set the boom in motion.

When she started her own company in 1978 at age 25 with only $3000, Carushka knew that to be successful in the competitive world of fashion she would need to create a niche that reflected how women feel about themselves. “My greatest strength as a business woman is originality. Our corporate slogan ‘expect the unexpected’ describes what I want to impart to my customers. My designs are meant to reflect the balance between being strong, yet feminine.”

After earning her degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 1973, as well as a couture diploma from the Trippon School of Design, Carushka began her career with Tori Richards Ltd. of Hawaii. At the age of 23 she became head designer, managing six divisions. Upon returning to her native Los Angeles, Carushka was approached by her sister, a ballet dancer, to create some new leotards for the studio store she worked with. Carushka discovered a unique new stretch cotton/lycra fabric and designed the first striped boat necked leotard, which was deemed “unwearable” by the store owner. But Capezio Dancewear customers thought differently -- they bought out all six pieces in one day and Capezio had to immediately reorder. From that moment on, Carushka0s Bodywear designs have been in demand.

Through her innovations, such as creating the first striped leotard, using cotton stretch fabrics, and designing costumes for motion pictures such as “Staying Alive,” which garnered her a loyal celebrity following, Carushka has continued to set the standard in the bodywear industry. In 1982 she was voted one of America’s Top Ten Designers by the New York Fashion Group, in 1987 she was named Outstanding Young Working woman by Glamour magazine, and Carushka’s business model is a case study in the marketing textbook Contemporary Marketing by Boone and Kurtz.

Citing Coco Chanel, Eleanor Roosevelt. Katherine Graham. and all professional women who manage to work and raise families as an inspiration, Carushka has been instrumental in making a difference in many people0s lives. “When we started our catalog business, I began to look for ways that would make our customers feel good about themselves, so I started to print inspirational quotes and passages throughout the book. I have been amazed at the tremendous response -- we literally receive hundreds of letters a month thanking me for my catalog. This is the ultimate compliment.”

Carushka Bodywear was at the forefront in Internet marketing, bearing the distinction of being the first bodywear company to launch a website back in 1995. Today www.carushka.com has evolved to become an industry leader, offering customers the opportunity to order merchandise, request catalogs, provide feedback and even vote on upcoming style choices. “We are continuing to expand our Internet presence. utilizing the latest digital tools to better serve our customers and create a fun and enjoyable online experience.”

Thank you Carushka for being on our show and for being, along with us a Positive Change Agent, helping usher in the changes we wish to see in the world.
