Louise Ashby, model and actress turned inspirational speaker, and author of “The Magic of the Mask,” was our guest on tonight's "Life Changes With Filippo" Radio Show.Our Producer Mark M. Laisure brought his friend Louise to the show and as much as I was looking forward to it, for various reasons, I was a little apprehensive. I was feeling so much compassion for this beautiful woman, who had the promise of a great modeling and acting career who's whole life changed when she was hit from behind by a car and she went flying through her car windshield.
After eighteen reconstructive surgeries (to date) necessary to recreate her face, I was wondering what I would find, not just on the outside, but on the inside as far as how she was coping with it all, even after all these years.
What I found was quite a pleasant surprise and put my heart and mind at ease the moment she walked through our door beautiful and smiling from the inside out. She looked beautiful and she beautifully shared her story freely, putting me at ease and also showing that she had either done lots of work to get to this place, or that she had had some major aha's along the way.
